HOW WE
MAKE DISCIPLES
CONFESS THE GOSPEL Through Weekly Worship Together
The Gospel is at the center of everything we do at CHC. We desire to proclaim it both individually during the week and especially as we gather corporately. Whether it’s Sunday mornings or special events, we desire to glorify Jesus through music, preaching, prayer, and responding to God’s Word.
Participating in corporate worship is vital to the disciple’s growth. God's Word instructs us to gather together (Hebrews 10:24-25, Ephesians 4:11), encouraging and challenging one another to live out our faith more effectively by sharing the hope of the gospel in our communities.
ENGAGE OUR WORLD In Missional Communities
At Covenant Hope we believe spiritual growth is found in community while participating in Gospel work. For that reason, we challenge every person to live intentionally patterned lives of evangelism and outreach alongside other believers. A Missional Community is an environment where a biblical worldview is strengthened (Head), we grow our affections for Christ (Heart), and put our faith into action through word and deed evangelism (Hands). We seek to accomplish this in our MCs by building relationships through sermon-based discussions, prayer, and serving our community regularly. Groups meet in various homes in our community throughout the week. Join one today!
BE TRANSFORMED In Intentional D-Groups
Disciple-making is important at Covenant Hope, and it informs everything we do. As a key step in that process, D-Groups provide intimate friendships, intense accountability, and a foundation built on God’s Word.
The third step in our Discipleship Pathway is to participate in a Discipleship Group, or a “D-Group.” A D-Group is a gender-specific, closed group of 4-6 people who (led by a more mature disciple) to discover core Christian beliefs and tools for deeper growth. At CHC we believe these D-Groups are foundational to the ministry of our church, and that they are where authentic growth happens. Are you ready to be transformed by Christ? Talk to your Missional Community leader about discipleship opportunities and express your interest to them.
MULTIPLY OUR IMPACT Through Sending and Serving
At CHC, we believe disciples make more disciples and churches multiply churches. This belief is foundational to a healthy and lasting disciple-making movement. This movement will only take place if we equip people to put their love for Jesus, their church, and their lost community into action – action that takes form through sending and serving. In serving, we call each member of CHC to serve in at least one ministry area, demonstrating their love and sacrifice towards others. By sending, we also call members to live as missionaries in their neighborhoods, schools, jobs, and our community to display the gospel. It’s our desire that sending and serving culminates in some members and teams being sent out to advance the Kingdom of God in North Carolina and around the world.
One of the best ways to grow deeper in your walk with Christ is by being in meaningful community with other believers. In our weekly Missional Community Groups or Sunday Equip Gatherings, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with other believers as you study the scriptures together.
